More than a workspace. More than an event venue.

Long before it became a workspace and event destination, this building played an important role in Montreal's industrial development.

Built in 1899 as part of the Merchants Manufacturing Company, the warehouse served the thriving textile industry that helped transform Saint-Henri into one of Canada's most important industrial districts. A few years later, the company became part of Dominion Textile, whose operations employed thousands of workers in the neighbourhood.

Located along the Lachine Canal and railway corridor, the building witnessed the rapid growth of Saint-Henri from a small village into a major manufacturing centre.

After decades of industrial activity, the building eventually fell vacant following the decline of canal-side manufacturing in the late twentieth century. In 2006, it was carefully revitalized by architect Luc Laporte, preserving the original brick walls, exposed steel structure, and industrial character that continue to define the space today.
